Is there a PDF or all-one-page HTML version of the "MH and xmh" book?

Hi, Is there a PDF or all-one-page HTML version of the "MH and xmh"
book, please? I'd like to read it offline, and I don't see an easy
way to mirror it.

Thanks,

Hi --

First, you can download the book from the "download this book" link in
the last bulleted text on the Browsing Help page:

http://rand-mh.sourceforge.net/book/browhelp.html

It shouldn't be hard to write a little script of some type to chop off
the header and footer code that surrounds the main text in each page.
You might then insert some HTML code between each page to make some sort
of marker so it's easy to tell which section you're reading (and to give
you a text target to search for a section you want). Once you'd glued
together an HTML version in a single file, you could open the file in a
program like OpenOffice.org Writer and save it as a PDF -- though it
wouldn't have all of the PDF features like bookmarks.

One thing you'd miss, though (besides the pretty formatting :) is that
the cross-reference links to other sections wouldn't work anymore
(unless you did more hackery during the conversion). You could probably
work around that by using the "search page" function in your browser or
PDF reader.

I haven't worked on this book for years, so maybe other people have
better ideas or can point you to just the version you want!

Hi Aleksey, there are a couple of options for offline reading. They are
located in the SourceForge MH Book Files section:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/rand-mh/files/MH%20Book/

I would strongly suggest the 200605 download, which is what we're
hosting at rand-mh.sourceforge.net/book. There is a much older
PostScript file in the 199907-ps download, but that should be sufficient
to give you the gist of MH.

And if you use Emacs, take a look at MH-E
(http://mh-e.sourceforge.net/). (The MH-E documentation in the
PostScript file mentioned above is WAY out of date and should only be
considered for concepts and not actual variables and key bindings.)

Thanks, that will do very nicely.

Best,
